Diese Arbeit befasst sich mit der Entwicklung einer Strategie, wie GUI-Entwickler innerhalb des Projekts "Competence Center Front End Development" der UBS ihre Webapplikationen in Zukunft wirkungsvoller testen kˆnnen. In dieser Untersuchung wird das Augenmerkmal auf das automatisierte Testen im Bereich des Komponententests gelegt, da auf dieser Ebene der Softwareentwicklung Potenzial für eine Effizienzsteigerung vorhanden ist. Es wird jedoch nicht nur der Aspekt der Automatisierung beleuchtet, sondern auch das Testen im Allgemeinen. Diese Grundlagen des Testens sind enorm wichtig, da sie die Voraussetzung für richtiges automatisiertes Testen darstellen. Die entwickelte Strategie bzw. das gefundene Werkzeug wird schliesslich an einer vorhandenen Webapplikation untersucht und entschieden, ob sich der Einsatz dieser Strategie rentiert.

This thesis deals with the development of a strategy how GUI-Developers can test their web applications more effectively in the near future within the project "Competence Center Front End Development" of the UBS . The focus of this research is set to the area of automatic testing of component tests due to the existence of a capability for an improvement in efficiency. However, not only the aspect of automation will be analysed but also the testing generally. The basics of testing are very important because they build the requirement for correct automatic testing. The developed strategy or the tool which has been found will be analysed with an already existing web application and decided if the employment of that strategy will be profitable.
