Videobasiertes E-Learning zur Vorbereitung von Lehrveranstaltungen
Publication type:
mastersthesis

Abstract:
General preparations for courses are mostly been provided by an abridgement of it, or even just by a table of content. If lucky, you might get a first-hand information from a friend, who has already visited that course. Interested students often only get a rough-textured overview of what they can expect from the course. Not seldom they fall short of their expectancy and have wasted valuable time. E-Learning provides the students with the possibility, to get a dynamical in-depth course introduction already during their preparation. Broadband internet meanwhile is well established and available all over Switzerland. The possibility to use it for high quality videos would support the use of E-Learning. This degree-dissertation will reveal that video-based E-Learning does add a productive and motivational value and therefore has a positive influence on the students. In the course “Project Management”, which took place summer 2006, a video based “course introduction” and several filmed events about “interest conflicts in delegation situations” have been produced and placed on the internet, to demonstrate students in a straightforward way, to get a first impression, what they can expect from this course.
