Online transaction platforms : implementation and multi-agent simulation of the effects of ratings and trust inferencing on online transaction platforms : a game theoretic perspective

Online Transaktion Plattformen bauen auf das faire Handeln und Verhalten der Teilnehmer auf. Es handelt sich dabei um 2-seitige Märkte, welches sowohl Kunden als auch Anbieter braucht um zu funktionieren. Dazu muss die Transaktionsplattform die nötigen Rahmenbedingungen schaffen, damit kein Missbrauch entsteht und keine Abwanderung der Kunden oder Anbieter verursacht. Diese Thesis untersucht Mechanismen die einen Missbrauch durch Anbieterstrategien entgegenwirkt. Dazu ist ein spieltheoretisches Modell einer Transaktionsplattform erstellt worden. Mittels einer Simulation wurden Massnahmen (Bewertung, Vertrauen, ohne Schutz) gegen missbräuchliche Strategien evaluiert. Das Resultat der Simulation zeigt auf, dass die Anwendung des hergeleiteten Trusts den Erfolg von bösartigem Verhalten eliminiert. Darauf aufbauend, haben wir eine Transaktionsplattform TextKing implementiert, welche bereits im Einsatz ist.

Online transaction platforms rely on the fair acting and behavior of the participants. It is a matter of two-sided markets, which needs both customers and suppliers to work. The transaction platform must provide the necessary trading conditions, that there is no abuse and does not cause migration of customers or suppliers. In the first part, this thesis investigates mechanisms that resist abuse provider strategies. For this purpose a game theory model of a transaction platform has been created. Measures (rating, trust, without protection) against abusive strategies were evaluated by using a simulation. The result of simulation shows that the application of the trust derived from the success of eliminating malicious behavior. On this basis, we have implemented a transaction platform TextKing which is already in use.
